You are about to visit our radio control car store, "SKOKIE". Skokie may appear to
be an ordinary toy, with radio control cars for sale and a shopping cart
to purchase the cars, but as you'll see, there's much more to Skokie than meets the eye...
- Start
by taking a look at Skokie. This is
an HTML format shopping cart page that you can customize
yourself. This allows you to use your own web page formats,
logo's, graphics, fonts, colors, etc.
Although our demonstration is on one single web page with three
items total, your Cyber Cart can be hundreds of pages
with hundreds of items!
Any customers that come directly to your website from your own
advertising are your own. No Affiliates will receive credit for
these sales, so no commission will be charged.
- Now how
many cars can you sell by yourself? A limited amount, thats
certain. What if you could multiply your efforts by enlisting an
unlimited number of "Affiliates" that could promote
and sell your cars for you, earning a commission for themselves
by doing so?
Sign
up for an Affiliate Account now, to earn commission by selling
our cars!
- Once you've
completed and submitted your request... take off your "Affiliate"
hat and pretend you are in charge of Skokie.
It's now your job to approve that submission.
View
our Cyber Cart Administration panel, and
approve the request you just made.
This is what you'll be looking for on the main administration
screen.
Once you have pressed the "Administer Awaiting"
button, a screen similar to the graphic below should appear. Be
sure to click the radio button marked "Approve", then
press "Process" to approve your account.
Once
your account is approved, you should receive an email (if you
used an email address of yours) which gives you a brief overview
of the Cyber Cart Affiliate program.
Each Affiliate is given their own unique URL
Example: http://www.yourserver.com/cgi-bin/redeem?(storeletters)(affiliate
number)
which is used to track purchases made by customer that were
referred through that URL. Think of it like a marker. Although
that customer doesn't realize it, when he or she clicks on a
text or graphic link, that link marks him/her. The customer will
never know that you are receiving commission for the sale,
although Cyber Cart will keep detailed records.
- If
you signed up for an account, you should now have your own
unique link to our Skokie. Either upload
the URL to any web page you own, or simply copy and paste that
URL in any web browser and press ENTER. This will take you to
our Skokie shopping cart once again,
however, this time, you are marked! Anything purchased will be
counted as commission towards your Affiliate account.
If you do not have time to sign up for your own demonstration
Affiliate account, use one that we've already created.
You're about to visit Skokie from a link
issued to our Affiliate coms102 (in this case, just a dummy
account). When you add a book to your cart, you will notice that
coms102 is the affiliate that receives credit for this
sale (unless you entered previously from another affiliate link.
Administration has the ability to give affiliates the right to a
customer and their purchases for as long as the Administrator
desires. The demonstration is set for 14 days.
Visit
Skokie now! This link will take
you to our Skokie shopping cart, however,
this time Cyber Cart will know that you were referred to
our site by an Affiliate's link! That affiliate (coms102) will
receive commission for anything you purchase.
- Once
you have purchased a car or two, and have submitted your
request, you should receive back an automatic email thanking you
for your purchase request (if you used a valid address) and
totalling the items you have requested to purchase.
Unless you are using the Authorize.net
real-time credit card authorizations (which Cyber Cart
does offer), you will probably want to approve each purchase
request manually. To do so,
go
back to our Administration panel and put your Skokie Administrator hat back on. :) This time we will
be looking for the button marked:
APPROVE TRANSACTIONS

Once you have pressed this button, you will be taken to the
main approval administration area. Here is what you'll see:

You are given three options with each transaction:
1 - Approve the transaction
2 - Deny the transaction
3 - See more details on the transaction, before making a
decision.
- If
you select the first transaction only, and choose to see details
on the transaction (you can choose an unlimited number of
transactions to view details and approve/deny simultaneously),
this is how the transaction would appear:

- THIS
DEMONSTRATION IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS. WE WILL ATTEMPT TO COMPLETE
IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
